Fellowship and Friendship:We understand that the value of consistent association with others is essential to a healthier, happier life...especially for the aging population. Many friendships are developed and nurtured weekly through interaction and participation.
Spiritual Development:We are a Christ-centered group, made up of all denominations. Our weekly devotional and prayer time provides renewal and reflection, which helps to strengthen our faith.
Missions and Outreach:We look for ways to share our resources. We donate items to community food banks. We enjoy making gifts for residents in area nursing care centers. Through fund-raising activities like rummage sales, we raise money for local charities. We routinely mail cards to friends & neighbors who need a note of cheer.
Activities and Special Events:Our weekly activities encourage us to interact with each other. Special guests and speakers help us stay informed about services and features that are of interest to our population. Other special events include seasonal parties and celebrations.
Diane Scott, coordinator, strives to make Senior Fellowship a unique experience every week. Starting as a volunteer in 1999, Diane became the activities director in 2003, then assumed the coordinator position in 2006.
Rounding out the Thursday team is a group of committed volunteers who help us every week with food service, crafts, and special events. Without our volunteers, Senior Fellowship would not be the ministry it has grown to be. Our goal is to make more seniors aware of this very special group.
