Welcome to First Baptist Church of Pendleton!
As we aspire to keep Jesus at the center of our lives, we are Rooted in Faith, and Growing in Love. We endeavor to be a welcoming and affirming community of grace for all people, loving our neighbors because God first loved us.
February 18 is the First Sunday of the season of Lent. Our Lenten theme this year is entitled Wandering Heart; the theme draws inspiration from the hymn “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.”“Jesus sought me…”On this first Sunday of Lent, we will hear the story of Peter’s call to follow Jesus in Luke 5:1-11 and Peter’s response. How have you responded to Jesus?“Let Thy goodness, like a fetter, bind my wandering heart to Thee.”
