Welcome to First Baptist Church of Pendleton
As we aspire to keep Jesus at the center of our lives, we are Rooted in Faith, and Growing in Love. We endeavor to be a welcoming and affirming community of grace for all people, loving our neighbors because God first loved us.

This Sunday, we continue our sermon series “Belong, Behave, Believe” with Acts 10:44-48 and 1 John 5:1-6.
1 John 5:2 states “By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and obey his commandments.” There is a connection between loving God and loving the children of God, even those who are different from us.
In Acts 10, the early church is challenged to recognize that Gentiles are included in God’s kingdom. How are we challenged by God’s invitation to belong?
We will also celebrate the dedication of a baby. The act of dedication is a proclamation that this child belongs to the community of faith, even before they claim any personal belief. Belonging is offered to all of God’s children.
Through belonging, may we grow to believe and to live in faithfulness to Christ.
