Sunday, Aug 3 is Back to School Sunday and Communion Sunday!
Students, teachers, and school staff are encouraged to bring your backpack to worship for our Back to School Blessing.
As part of our observance of communion, all are invited to bring a donation for Clemson Community Care.
Our Scripture text will be Ephesians 4:1-7. Pastor Jennifer Rygg will share a communion reflection entitled “Worthy of the Call.”
Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will give the Welcome and Invocation. The Call to Worship will be “Thy Hand, O God, Has Guided.” Rev. Chris Cottingham will lead the Passing of the Peace. The Hymn of Praise will be “Great Are You, Lord.” Hayden Maxey will read Ephesians 4:1-7. Pastor Jennifer Rygg, Children’s Ministry Coordinator Kiley Daniel, and Rev. Chris Cottingham will lead the Back to School Blessing. The Offertory Hymn will be “God, Whose Giving Knows No Ending.” Richard Baldwin will give the Offertory Prayer. Richard Reynolds Huss will play “One Faith, One Hope, One Lord” for the Offertory. The Sanctuary Choir will sing “Offertory” by John Ness Beck. Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will preach the communion reflection “Worthy of the Call.” The Hymn of Response will be “In Remembrance.”
