The summer break is over and Wednesday night Choir Rehearsals resume next Wednesday, July 31! That makes this a perfect time for those of you who have been thinking about joining or rejoining to hop aboard. We’ve already had 4 new or returning members join in the last few months, so this is a great time for a fresh start! Come July 31 from 7:15-8:15 pm. Beginning in August we’ll return to our regular 7:30 – 8:30 pm schedule.

We’ll also be preparing to participate, as we did last year, in the 2nd Annual Summer Choral Festival. Our choir will combine with the choirs of Trinity Baptist (Seneca), St. Mark United Methodist (Seneca), and Fort Hill Presbyterian (Clemson) to present an afternoon of worship through choral singing. The worship service will be August 25 at 4:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Seneca. Our guest conductor and director will be Dr. Jeremy Mims, Associate Professor and Director of Choral Activities at Winthrop University. In addition to his role at Winthrop, Jeremy is the President-Elect of the SC Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, AND is Director of Music Ministries at Grace Lutheran Church in Rock Hill. He understands church choirs remarkably well and has grown up singing with and leading church choirs. With close to 100 singers leading worship that day, it will be an event that will bless you and uplift your spirit.

Hope you will join us!
