We will celebrate the birth of Jesus on Tuesday, December 24 at 5:00 pm with a Candlelight & Communion Service. Experience the drama of the Scripture readings as we hear from the prophet Isaiah and the Gospel of Luke. Enjoy listening and singing along with the beautiful seasonal music. Join in celebrating Communion, after which the light of the handheld candles reminds us that the Light of Christ shines through each of us as we gather in a circle around the Sanctuary and sing “Silent Night.” It’s a night to remember.
There is always room for children in worship, especially on Christmas, as we celebrate the birth of a baby. We have Christmas Eve worship bags for children available at the sanctuary entrances, and children will be invited to come to the front for a story.
All are welcome at First Baptist Church of Pendleton. Whether you attend regularly, not so often, or have never worshipped here, you are welcome here. Whether you are gay or straight or across the binary, you are welcome here. Whether you were born here or emigrated here, you are welcome here. Whether you are Black or White or Hispanic or Middle Eastern or Asian, you are welcome here.
Unlike what Mary and Joseph experienced on that first Christmas Eve, all are welcome here.
