Welcome to First Baptist Church of Pendleton!
Rooted in Faith and Growing in Love

February 13, 2022 · 10:45 am · Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany

Guest Preacher Rev. Dr. Meredith Stone will preach the sermon “The Realization of Our Hope.” The Call to Worship will be “Grace Alone.” There will be a Responsive Reading of Psalm 23. Warren Willoughby will read Isaiah 61:1-6 and will give the Offertory Prayer. Rev. Chris Cottingham will sing a solo of “Living Waters.” The Sanctuary Choir will sing the anthem “In the Bulb.”

In Isaiah 61 the prophet offers hope to a desperate and brokenhearted folk that their savior is coming, but also tells them that they must participate in the realization of their hope. They must join in what God is doing in order for salvation to arrive. In the same way, we too must join in God’s work and actively participate in the realization of our hope.
