Listening for the Unexpected: We continue a sermon series on Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount.
Over five weeks, we will be exploring Jesus’ teachings in Matthew chapters 5 through 7.

The Call to Worship will be “Aria.” The Hymns of Praise will be “Wonderful Words of Life” and “Ancient Words.” Kitty Alverson will read Micah 6:6-8. The Offertory Hymns will be “Thy Word” and “Open Our Eyes.” Rev. Chris Cottingham will read Matthew 6:1-4. Thomas Rygg will read Matthew 6:5-9a. The Congregation will read The Lord’s Prayer, Matthew 6:9b-13. Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will read Matthew 6:14-18 and give the Pastoral Prayer. The Sanctuary Choir will sing the anthem “Offertory.” Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will preach the sermon “Unexpected Humility,” based on Matthew 6:1-18. The Hymn of Response will be “Grace Alone.”
