Created Anew Sermon Series
The start of a new year is an opportunity to start over and create the world anew through resolutions, hopes, and dreams. As a community of faith, we explore what it means to be followers of Jesus in a new calendar year and see Christian identity in a new way. Through Scriptures spanning various sections of the Bible, may we discover new and creative ways to explore what it means to be a baptized Christian in the world today.
January 21, 2024 · 10:45 am · Third Sunday after Epiphany
The Call to Worship will be “My Faith Looks Up to Thee.” The Hymn of Praise will be “For the Beauty of the Earth.” Lesa Chandler will read Jonah 3:1-5, 10, 4:11. The Offertory Hymn will be “Let Your Heart Be Broken.” Lesa Chandler will give the Offertory Prayer. Richard Reynolds Huss will play “O God Beyond All Praising” for the Offertory. Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will preach the sermon “Created Anew: God Creates Connection.” The Hymn of Response will be “Here I Am, Lord.”
