Welcome to First Baptist Church of Pendleton!
Rooted in Faith and Growing in Love

January 9, 2022 · 10:45 am · First Sunday after the Epiphany

Today we conclude our Advent/Christmas theme, Close to Home. Throughout this season, we have reflected on metaphors and imagery centered around the idea of home. Today we reflect on this space of worship as our home. This is today’s Invitation to Worship:

Jesus said, “This is my Father’s house.”
So come into this space just as you are.
Come into this space speaking your truth.
Come into this space with your authentic self.
This is God’s home. This is our home.
Let us worship God.

Pastor Jennifer Rygg will preach the sermon “At Home in God’s House.” Skip Still will read Luke 2:41-52 and give the Offertory Prayer. Richard Reynolds Huss will play “Going Home” by Antonín Dvořák for the Prelude.
