Welcome to First Baptist Church of Pendleton
As we aspire to keep Jesus at the center of our lives, we are Rooted in Faith, and Growing in Love. We endeavor to be a welcoming and affirming community of grace for all people, loving our neighbors because God first loved us.

This week we resume our summer sermon series, God at Work.
During June, we explored several passages from 1 Samuel and reflected on God’s work among us – calling us, responding to us, seeing us, and leading us.
We move now to 2 Samuel, where we continue to look for God’s radical grace at work in unexpected ways. Our theme for Sunday, July 21 is “God Saves” from 2 Samuel 1:17-27. In this passage, David grieves the death of Saul and Jonathan. We will also read Psalm 130 and Lamentations 3:22-26, other texts of lament and praise to God.
Even in dark times, God is STILL at work among us – saving us and uniting us.
