Summer Sermon Series: Called In
If someone disagrees with our words or actions, they may call us out – challenging us, possibly in a way that feels shaming and critical.
Another approach would be for someone to call us IN – to invite us, through conversation and relationship, to consider a better way.
This summer sermon series, Called In, invites us to reflect on how God uses our mistakes, weaknesses, and experiences to help us grow.
Our text for July 6 will be 2 Kings 5:1-14, “Called to Humility.”

Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will give the Welcome and Invocation. The Call to Worship will be “Just as I Am, without One Plea.” Alexandria Coulter will lead the Passing of the Peace. The Hymn of Praise will be “Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah.” Caleb Rygg will read Galatians 5:13-14, 22-23. The Offertory Hymn will be “The Solid Rock.” Dave Alverson will give the Offertory Prayer. Richard Reynolds Huss will play “God of Our Fathers” for the Offertory. Alexandria Coulter will sing a solo, “Open our Eyes,” accompanied by Richard Huss. Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will preach the sermon “Called to Humility” on 2 Kings 5:1-14. The Hymn of Response will be “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross.”
