Ahhhh….Summer! A season of rest…and also, a season of juggling camp schedules and packing lists and vacation plans, Vacation Bible School and all of the other “restful” aspects of summer. Our June Sermon Series will explore what Scripture says about Rest. Join us Sunday, June 12 as we look at God’s example of rest in Genesis 2:1-3 and Matthew 8:23-27. Worship in person or online at 10:45 a.m.
The Hymn of Praise will be “Holy, Holy, Holy.” Hayden Maxey and Anna Leavitt will read the Old Testament Reading of Psalm 33:6-9, Genesis 2:1-3, and Psalm 33:20-22. Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will read Matthew 8:23-27. Hayden Maxey will give the Offertory Prayer. Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will preach the sermon “Rest: God’s Example.” The Hymn of Response will be “Near to the Heart of God.”
