What WILL God do?
God’s work in the world is not complete. What WILL God do? Scripture is filled with God’s promises for the future. In Isaiah 65:17-25, God says God will make new, God will rejoice, and God will answer. When the world feels broken, when we mourn, when God seems silent…may we hold on to these promises of God’s future actions with hope. God WILL make new. God WILL rejoice. God WILL answer.
Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will give the Welcome and Invocation. The Call to Worship will be “Rejoice in the Lord.” The Hymn of Praise will be “I Sing the Mighty Power of God.” Rev. Chris Cottingham will lead the Passing of the Peace and then sing “Is He Worthy?” Anna Leavitt will read Isaiah 65:17-25. The Offertory Hymn will be “Sing a New Church.” Anna Leavitt will give the Offertory Prayer. Richard Reynolds Huss will play “Rejoice, the Lord Is King” for the Offertory. The Sanctuary Choir will sing “Now to Him.” Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will preach the sermon “God will… make new, rejoice, answer.” The Hymn of Response will be “Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus.”
