Welcome to First Baptist Church of Pendleton
As we aspire to keep Jesus at the center of our lives, we are Rooted in Faith, and Growing in Love. We endeavor to be a welcoming and affirming community of grace for all people, loving our neighbors because God first loved us.

Time and grief are often interwoven. What does Jesus say when we are emotionally frozen?

This Sunday, we are grateful to welcome Rev. Gator Lone Wolf as our guest preacher. Gator will preach from John 11:17-36. His message, entitled “Memphis Time,” will invite us to reflect on moving through grief. Grief can immobilize us, but our faith calls us to something else.

A Cherokee from South Carolina, Gator grew up in the Baptist Church and was ordained in 2012 after completing seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Professionally, Gator serves as a Tribal Council Member of the Eastern Cherokee of SC Tribe. In addition, Gator is an Organizational Effectiveness Lead at Humana and serves as Associate Pastor at Unity Fellowship in Owensboro, Kentucky. In his spare time, Gator enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, playing guitar, and basketball. His husband and son join him at many Cherokee ceremonies throughout the year.

We look forward to welcoming Gator to the pulpit at FBC Pendleton.
