Worship Service for the Weary on Wednesday, January 3 at 6:30 pm in the sanctuary

The holiday season can be exciting, joy-filled, and magical. It can also be exhausting and overwhelming, with reminders of grief and loss.  This Wednesday, we will resume our Wednesday night schedule with a Worship Service for the Weary.

This service is designed to make space for weariness and grief in the midst of a time when there is much celebrating. As we resume our routines after the holidays, may we make space for worship. Even when joy may feel out of our grasp, God is near.

During Advent and Christmas, we have been asking How Does A Weary World Rejoice? As this series draws to a close, we will gather this Wednesday night in the sanctuary for Scripture reading and prayers, remembering that the light of Christ still shines.

Worship at Home

Instead of offering an option to join the service virtually as we typically do, this service has an individual liturgy designed for use at home. Instructions and readings may be found at this link: Individual Worship liturgy.

Sing it so loud
that it drowns out the weariness of the world,
for the bravest thing we can ever do
is trust that we belong here.
