Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will give the Welcome. The Call to Worship will be J.S. Bach’s “Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme.” Ian & Alexandria Coulter will light the Advent Candle and will lead the Passing of the Peace. The Songs of Praise will be “Light the Light, the Fire of Life” and “Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus.” Rev. Chris Cottingham will pray the Prayer of Illumination. Jane Reynolds Huss will read Lamentations 3:55-57 and Luke 1:5-13. Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will pray the Pastoral Prayer and lead The Lord’s Prayer. The Offertory Hymn will be “People Look East.” Jane Reynolds Huss will give the Offertory Prayer. Richard Reynolds Huss will play “Of the Father’s Love Begotten” for the Offertory. The Sanctuary Choir will sing “Creators of the Stars of Night.” Rev. Jennifer McClung Rygg will preach the sermon “From Fear to Hope.” Rev. Chris Cottingham will sing “Immanuel.” The Hymn of Response will be “View the Present Through the Promise.”
